Vito Dragone III
President

Vito Dragone is Founder and President of Dragone Realty Investments, LLC, a real estate company engaged in the acquisition, rehabilitation, and management of multifamily communities in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. 

Vito launched his real estate career at Oxford Realty Financial Group after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management. During his tenure at Oxford, Vito was responsible for special projects, managed Oxford’s Annual Report Process that included a “rollup” of a portfolio of 165 investments properties, and developed sophisticated Excel-based models used to project the operating results and debt and equity returns of each ownership entity. 

Upon promotion to Assistant Vice President in the Investment Management Group, Vito was responsible for the day-to-day asset management of a $150 million portfolio of 20 assets, including market-rate and affordable multifamily communities in five states, totaling approximately 3,500 units. 

Vito was responsible for the analyses in the sale of Oxford to AIMCO. This complex transaction totaled over $340 million and included the sale of over 100 Limited Liability Corporations within 165 Limited Partnerships. After the sale, Vito lead a transition team to ensure that all Cash Distributions from the 165 properties were accurately accounted for at AIMCO. Post-transition, Vito was an Asset Manager/Multifamily Acquisitions Consultant for Toll Brothers and was responsible for evaluating potential multifamily acquisitions and for completing an assessment with recommendations for enhancement of all management systems, policies, procedures, and related reporting. 

Prior to forming Dragone Realty Investments, Vito acquired approximately 4,000 multifamily units in the Washington D.C. metro area, including the new development project, Rockville Town Square. 

Vito has acquired and renovated over $400,000,000 in multifamily assets since creating DRI. These acquisitions were Joint Venture Partnerships with HSBC, PCCP, and AEW Capital Management.
