Jon started at Dragone Realty Investments (DRI) at its inception in December 2006. He is involved in all aspects of the acquisitions, although his primary focus is underwriting and the due diligence process. His responsibilities include the initial underwriting and information gathering of all potential acquisitions; managing the information exchange with the seller’s representative; being the primary contact person with the third party consultants; and reviewing third party reports, survey, title commitment, real estate taxes, zoning information, and other related documents.
Prior to joining Dragone Realty Investments, Jon was the Due Diligence Manager for a local real estate company for approximately eight years. During his tenure, Jon was involved in the acquisition of approximately 9,600 multifamily units in 34 properties. Jon also assisted in the re-financing of multiple apartment communities.
Before working with the local real estate company, Jon was a project accountant with Realty Management Services, an affiliated property management company of Ross Development & Investments. His duties included daily accounting procedures (accounts payable, daily cash control, lease reviews, contact with the on-site manager), bank reconciliations, and month-end closeouts. He prepared and maintained monthly operating statements and variance letters distributed by Realty Management Services to investors and owners and assisted in preparing budgets for the next year.
Jon received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from East Carolina University.
